Introduction to the Intersections Mapping Program

Created and managed by the Lost Mural Project, come see the progress of an exciting digital map of the 1850-1950 immigration patterns to Burlington. This first phase focuses on Fr-CA, Irish, Italian and Jewish immigration. The map, which shows residents and businesses in each decade overlaid on historical background maps, includes many complementary features (fun facts, public buildings, churches and synagogues, etc.) and pop-up menus (which can include historic documents such as immigration papers, wedding photos, naturalization papers, etc.).
