  • On New Year’s Day, outdoor enthusiasts participated in a Tour De Moon event at the Catamount Outdoor Family Center in Williston when icy trails forced organizers to swap planned cross-country skiing for snowshoeing — the improvised adventure brought neighbors together under the moonlight.  NBC5

  • Effective today, Vermont Fish & Wildlife sets new inland fishing rules: anglers may keep up to 50 panfish per day while only 25 black or white crappie are allowed and their sale is banned; anglers must also renew wild baitfish and add fish seller endorsements when selling fish.  NBC5

  • UVM goalkeeper Niklas Herceg will return to the Catamounts for another season — playing for Vermont Green FC in the U.S. Open Cup and 2026 USL2 regular season — after being selected 16th overall by FC Dallas in the MLS SuperDraft, as confirmed on his Instagram post.  NBC5
