- ➤ Peter Walke of Efficiency Vermont explains that energy efficiency lowers costs for families and businesses while reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The three-year proposal — guided by feedback from nearly 900 residents and hundreds of businesses — removes $3.75 million in its proposed budget to focus on weatherization and long-term affordability. - ➤ BlueCross BlueShield of VT reported 2025 gains by repaying a $30 million loan and raising its reserves to $105 million after cutting its budget and limiting hiring.
