ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Colchester police investigated a suspicious fire at Spare Time Entertainment on Friday night after customers evacuated when they smelled smoke—officials said the sprinkler system quickly extinguished the blaze while investigators from the Vermont State Police Fire Investigation Unit and Vermont Fire Marshal are examining the cause—and they urge anyone with information to contact police.  NBC5

  • Ben & Jerry’s will host its annual Free Cone Day on April 8th — a celebration that began in Burlington — by offering free ice cream cones at participating Scoop Shops worldwide. ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • This spring, Vermont offers five scenic spots to see blooming daffodils, tulips and peonies at farms—gardens and public spaces that make for great photo ops. Shelburne Museum welcomes visitors daily from May 10th to Oct. 26th while other sites like Cady’s Falls Botanical Garden, Hildene Gardens, Shelburne Farms and Justin Smith Morrill Homestead Gardens offer unique hours, with the Morrill Homestead closing for the summer.  Burlington Free Press
