  • Burlington business CashorTrade has partnered with The Stone Church in Brattleboro to offer face-value ticket resales that aim to lower inflated prices and cut fraud—The service is set to support fair pricing and reduce high no-show rates for concerts by acts like The Cure and MJ Lenderman.  Burlington Free Press

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Census Bureau data showed that Vermont’s median household income went up by 5.4% from 2022 to 2023 to $81,200—lifting the income above the national level and placing Vermont 17th among states.  VermontBiz

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Vermont House passed a big education reform bill on Friday in an 87—55 vote that will move the measure to the Senate. Lawmakers said the bill must change more to control spending and help small schools.  Vermont Public
  • Burlington gardeners can sign up for Sprouted, a 10-week newsletter course that teaches how to start seeds and build an outdoor garden using expert methods—local specialist Julie Rubaud of Red Wagon Plants helped share her care tips.  Vermont Public

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Native lake trout in Lake Champlain are now reproducing on their own after restoration efforts that began in the 1950s. The Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department ended its final stocking effort on April 10 and will keep watching the species' progress—showing a rare conservation success.  VTDigger
