- ➤ A new roadside marker honoring Cpl. Leonard A. Lord, the first Vermonter killed in WWI, was unveiled outside Riverside Cemetery in Swanton today by the Vermont Division for Historic Preservation. It is the 335th marker in the state’s program and remembers his service and sacrifice over 100 years ago. NBC5
