  • Vermont's Child Development Division will improve its processes after a state audit found inconsistent documentation of serious child care violations over two years, totaling 131 incidents. Officials say better tracking will help ensure children receive safe care.  NBC5
  • High school seniors are entering a statewide contest to register the most young voters, with categories including total numbers and town representation (launched by Secretary of State Sarah Copeland Hanzas and the Vermont-NEA).   • The Vermont Lake Monsters announced the death of pitcher Jack Birtwell (21), who played during the 2025 season, on Monday. The team said it is heartbroken and offered condolences to his family and teammates at Gordon College and Sacred Heart University.  NBC5
