- ➤ The Vermont City Marathon takes place Memorial Day weekend. RunVermont is cutting waste by adding recycling, compost, and trash bins in partnership with Bin There Dump That — organizers expect to divert a couple tons of trash and will share an environmental impact report after the race. NBC5
- ➤ Volunteers readied the Pine Street lot for the Burlington Farmers Market, which will start May 9 and run every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. until Oct. 31, featuring about 120 vendors and kids activities (rain or shine) for a vibrant community gathering. NBC5
