GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ South Burlington signed a $20 million contract to build a pedestrian bike bridge over I-89 (linking sidewalks near Staples and CVS) to improve safety for walkers and cyclists. Construction will start this summer and finish in October 2028. VTDigger

- ➤ UVM Cancer Center ran a mobile lab demo behind the Statehouse yesterday, where students saw cancer cells with a high-power microscope (it also offers skin cancer screenings). - ➤ Rising wildlife rabies has led officials to plan over 900,000 vaccine doses in bait across 10 counties early May. The bait will be dropped from low-flying aircraft in rural areas + placed by hand in denser spots to protect both animals and pets. Vermont Public
