- ➤ A fire broke out early Saturday morning on Shelburne Wood Drive in a trailer park near the Shelburne Country Store, damaging two homes and one vehicle with no injuries reported—fire crews remained on site to assess the damage and check on the nearby Shelburne Supermarket's cash-only system. - ➤ Lost Lantern started its monthly Discovery Club on May 1 to give whiskey fans a new bottle each month. The club costs $90 with shipping and also offers behind the scenes stories and special events that members can join at its tasting room in Vergennes. VermontBiz

- ➤ The Vermont Brewers Festival will return to Waterfront Park in Burlington on July 18-19 with milestone celebrations and par Canadian pricing—tickets went on sale at 11 a.m. May 2. The two-day event will feature sessions with beer samples, music, games and local vendors. VermontBiz

- ➤ Will Goyette scored six fourth-quarter goals to lead South Burlington's boys lacrosse team to a 10+9 win over Mount Mansfield as his play sealed the narrow victory. Burlington Free Press
- ➤ RunVermont will host the 36th M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon & Relay in Burlington on May 25 with more than 5,000 runners, 20,000 spectators, and 800 volunteers expected.
