- ➤ With just over two weeks until the Vermont City Marathon, Burlington organizers are seeking volunteers for course monitoring, cheer stations, and hospitality tents on marathon weekend. - ➤ CV-TEC students partnered with North Country Honor Flight to repair the B-17 bus and a transport car for veterans — the work began in January and is ongoing, with the first flight scheduled for Saturday, May 16. NBC5
- ➤ Poultney resident Carolyn Stellatella is set to run her 28th marathon, the Vermont City Marathon, to raise money for blood cancer research in memory of her mother. She aims to raise $5,000 as she continues her pledge—having already raised over $150,000 over the years. NBC5

- ➤ The Vermont Senate passed H.739 on Thursday, May 8 which will ban the sale and use of the herbicide paraquat after 2030 if the House approves and Gov. Scott signs the bill.
