  • Tick season is here in Burlington and Vermont’s Department of Health urges residents to take precautions with EPA approved repellents — emergency room visits for tick bites are up while a Massachusetts researcher pre-orders 5,000 at home Lyme test kits shipping in August.  Burlington Free Press

  • Coach Chris Taylor spoke with reporters following the Vermont Green men's team’s 9-0 home opener victory (a strong start that energized the team).  Burlington Free Press
  • On Saturday, Burlington's waterfront hosted RunVermont's youth events as part of the Vermont City Marathon weekend. The events featured short races for young runners and longer distances for older kids, and organizer Cavan Luer said the races were fun and competitive.  NBC5
  • The Vermont Green women's team earned its first competitive USL-W win by defeating the Hudson Valley Crusaders 2-1 at Virtue Field on May 23. They will host Lakeshore SC on May 29 as they build on this historic performance.  Burlington Free Press
