- ➤ Legislators passed an education reform plan on Friday — bill H.955 — that keeps school mergers voluntary and lowers district overtime limits. Districts are required to meet with state facilitators to develop proposals that voters will decide on town meeting day in 2028. NBC5
- ➤ Today at 5:02 a.m., students and alumni gathered at Albert D. Lawton Intermediate School in Essex Junction to unseal a 1976 time capsule that held vintage items and a paper-mache astronaut; after the ceremony, a new capsule with modern keepsakes was buried to be opened in 2076.
