- ➤ Hundreds of law enforcement officers, first responders, students, and Special Olympics athletes are joining the torch run to support Special Olympics Vermont during its 41st year. - ➤ Apollo-managed funds committed up to $220 million in a joint venture with Vermont-based Bullrock Energy to develop nearly 500 MW of community solar projects in New York and New England — the deal will help provide affordable clean energy for local residents. VermontBiz

- ➤ Today, Burlington hosts Summer in the City—an arts and culture festival offering downtown concerts, dances, film screenings and art exhibits. - ➤ GasBuddy data show that Vermont gasoline now averages $3.07 per gallon, which is 2 cents lower than last week and marks a continued decline from recent months and last year. Burlington prices averaged $3.14 per gallon, down 0.7 cents from last week — with the cheapest station at $3.03 and the most expensive at $3.19. VermontBiz

- ➤ The Community College of Vermont will award over 70 debt-free associate degrees to young Vermonters through the Free Degree Promise program — nearly half of whom are first-generation students. The commencement will be held on Saturday, June 7 at 2:00 p.m. at Norwich University’s Shapiro Field House in Northfield. VermontBiz
- ➤ Today, teens from Middlebury Union High and Addison Central work with staff at the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum in Vergennes to build a 25- to 32-foot wooden rowing gig over nine months—starting with harvesting Vermont lumber and learning hands-on skills. - ➤ South Burlington officials released bids for a new bike and pedestrian bridge over I-89 that will connect Staples Plaza and Quarry Hill to the University Mall area — the project is funded by federal grants with an estimated cost of 10 to 25 million. The bidding process is underway and construction will start once a contractor is chosen. The Other Paper
- ➤ State tax revenues for April exceeded targets as the General, Transportation and Education Funds collected $538.9 million —14.4% above target—with the Personal Income Tax showing over 26% more revenue than expected, Secretary Sarah Clark reported.
