- ➤ Al's French Frys in South Burlington opened its ice cream window with its restaurant in 1946 and has become Vermont's oldest ice cream shop offering classic sundaes and creemee flavors. Operating seasonally from the first weekend in April until Halloween with hours from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and extended hours on weekends—locals can visit at 1251 Williston Rd. to enjoy a taste of tradition.
