GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Next week, northbound lanes on the Burlington-Winooski Bridge will be reduced to one lane (9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 28 and 29) as the Vermont Agency of Transportation collects soil samples before a three-year phased project replaces the nearly 100-year-old bridge starting in 2028. HEALTH NEWS

  • Health officials said mosquito testing found West Nile virus in St. Albans and Jamestown Canyon virus in Rutland even though no human or animal cases have been reported so far. They urged Vermonters to use repellent, wear long sleeves, and remove standing water—steps that can help prevent mosquito bites.  VermontBiz
