Registration is now open for the 2025 Vermont Nonprofit Summit at the DoubleTree in South Burlington, set for November 4.

The event will bring together nonprofit professionals, community leaders, and advocates to hear keynote speaker Tom Bodett—along with more than 20 breakout sessions for collaboration.

Lawson’s Finest Liquids is now accepting applications from Vermont nonprofits for its 2026 Sunshine Fund— which will honor 24 organizations with a two-week partnership in its Waitsfield taproom and full fund donations during that time.

Eligible nonprofits that support the environment and local people may apply online before Aug. 31 at 5 p.m.

Jay Peak Resort in northern Vermont has opened fall lodging packages for stays from August 8 to October 12 that include discounted rates and a complimentary ride on Vermont’s only Aerial Tram offering broad autumn views of the Northeast Kingdom.

Reservations must be made by August 19 and note that the Tram will experience a brief maintenance closure in September (specific dates are pending).

Vermont Green FC claimed their first national title on Saturday evening by coming from behind to beat Seattle's Ballard FC 2 to 1 at Virtue Field in Burlington + the undefeated team also won its first three playoff matches and prevailed in a penalty shootout against Alabama's Dothan United in the semi-final.

Maximilian Kissel scored the game-winning goal in stoppage time as Vermont Green FC defeated Ballard FC 2—1 in the USL League Two final at Virtue Field on Aug 2, completing an undefeated season.

Julien Le Bourdoulous was named MVP after scoring a penalty kick as fans celebrated the team’s first national title.
