Vermont Smoke & Cure has donated over 100,000 protein snacks to food pantries and shelters across the Northeast, including in Burlington, as part of its effort to combat food insecurity.

The donation was announced on Aug. 7 and supports local organizations addressing housing and economic challenges.

Queen City Cats announced that two previously featured cats have found new families, with Daniel (now called Porcini) showing a lively side and senior cat Lilly, who was hard of hearing, beginning a new chapter today.

Both have settled into caring homes with warm families.

On Aug. 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the Vermont APEX Accelerator will host a free small business workshop at Main Street Landing to provide local owners with guidance on Navy procurement and the Mentor-Protégé Program (additional networking opportunities are planned).
