  • Attorney General Clark announced that the 9th Vermont Legal Community Fighting Hunger Food and Diaper Drive will start Friday, September 5 and run until Friday, September 19—helping families facing food and diaper need. Members of the legal community will host online fundraising pages and donate items to support the drive—uniting efforts with the Vermont Foodbank, VBA, and VPO.  VermontBiz

  • Today Forbes released a ranking of Vermont’s top five employers based on wage parity, work culture and paths for advancement—listing M&T Bank, State of Vermont, University of Vermont Health Network, University of Vermont and Rutland Regional Medical Center.   • South Burlington teen Sela Morgenstein Fuerst, age 12, submitted her poem 'Independence on Rollerblades' to the Young Writers Project—a Burlington-based hub for teen creative work that lets young writers share their visions of freedom and hope.  VTDigger
  • Burlington and other Vermont towns will host 30 arts and entertainment events in September that include film screenings, art shows, and live concerts (with acts like Jim Gaffigan and Grace Potter) scheduled across the month.
