🚨 Crime
Burlington Police arrested 26-year-old Isaiah Argro of Queens and 16-year-old Karson Taylor of South Burlington on second-degree murder charges in connection with the fatal beating of 42-year-old Scott Kastner next to City Hall Park on August 11—Argro was detained in Shelburne and Taylor was arrested at a local nightclub, and both are set for arraignment today in Burlington Superior Court.

Vermont regulators recommended that Burlington Electric Department hire a third-party firm to audit its management—focusing on quality controls and operational practices—after the Public Utility Commission publicly rebuked the department on July 31.
The utility’s general manager and mayor said they will cooperate with the review to address the errors.
