CRIME NEWS

  • Burlington Police arrested 26-year-old Isaiah Argro of Queens and 16-year-old Karson Taylor of South Burlington on second-degree murder charges in connection with the fatal beating of 42-year-old Scott Kastner next to City Hall Park on August 11—Argro was detained in Shelburne and Taylor was arrested at a local nightclub, and both are set for arraignment today in Burlington Superior Court.  VermontBiz

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Vermont regulators recommended that Burlington Electric Department hire a third-party firm to audit its management—focusing on quality controls and operational practices—after the Public Utility Commission publicly rebuked the department on July 31.
