- ➤ Spectrum Youth and Family Services announced that its job program Detail Works will close on Oct. 15 because rising health care costs and inflation made it unsustainable. Two full-time staff and 10 youth employees will be affected—Spectrum will provide bonuses for those staying through October and help them find new jobs. NBC5

- ➤ VBSR announced the 2025 winners of awards for social equity, environmental responsibility and economic growth. The winners — Ellen Kahler, Vermont Green FC and Sam Bellavance — will be honored at an awards dinner on October 2 at The Farmhouse at The Essex Resort & Spa. VermontBiz

- ➤ Grace Potter will headline the Grand Point North concert series at Waterfront Park in Burlington starting Friday, Sept. 12 with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra and local acts on the first two days while sold-out Goose finishes on Sunday. - ➤ Leaders at Hula Lakeside discussed Vermont’s Child Care Campaign during a town hall that marked two years since Act 76 and the planned wind-down of Let’s Grow Kids, noting more than 100 new programs, over 1,700 child care spaces, and 400 educator jobs since 2023. Partner groups outlined priorities for protecting funding—expanding access and strengthening the workforce—and introduced Emilie Tenenbaum as the new executive director of the campaign. VermontBiz

- ➤ A pilot program to deploy automated speed enforcement cameras in highway work zones remains stalled after Gov Phil Scott signed it into law last year — state officials said law enforcement agencies lack the manpower to review images and issue citations. It will host additional job fairs today at White River Junction, Friday in Colchester and Saturday in Burlington offering positions for applicants as young as 18 with starting salaries of $20 to $27 an hour.
