  • At 95, Ted Schultheis recalled his journey from the Bronx to Vermont and how his risk on the Stowe Street Emporium—along with roles that helped launch Green Mountain Coffee Roasters and Ben & Jerry’s—spurred growth in Waterbury.   • Burlington's Latin American Connection block party celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month today at City Hall Park—music, dancing, and vendors showcased Latin American culture as part of Burlington City Arts' Twilight Block Parties.  NBC5

HEALTH NEWS

  • Drugstores in Burlington will offer updated COVID-19 vaccines this fall, and insurers have confirmed they will cover the cost even though CDC advisers did not specifically recommend the shots. Insurers, including public programs and major commercial plans, will continue coverage through 2026—ensuring most eligible patients can get vaccinated at no extra charge.  NBC5

  • On Sept. 20, the Vermont men's soccer team overcame a two-goal halftime deficit to win 4-2 over Fairfield with four unanswered second-half goals. Sophomore Ryan Zellefrow scored twice in 21 seconds to give Vermont its first lead — Fairfield also received a red card.  Burlington Free Press
