The Fletcher Free Library in Burlington received a $50,000 grant from T-Mobile to preserve its historic 1904 Carnegie building and support free programs for study, storytimes, and job search help.

Burlington was one of 25 communities selected—out of more than 1,000 applicants—and this is the second Hometown Grant the library has received.

Burlington Farmers Market is a local staple that gathers residents and visitors on Pine Street each Saturday through Oct 25 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.—the event offers fresh produce, homemade treats and local crafts, and vendor Pedro Salas said sharing his bees’ honey is his greatest joy.
