- ➤ Shelburne Vineyard hosted its annual Harvest Festival this weekend+ asking guests to bring non-perishable food items or a small cash donation for Feeding Champlain Valley as many families face rising food, housing and medical costs. Attendees sampled local wines+ shopped with vendors and listened to live music while the community stepped up to help those in need. NBC5
- ➤ NBC5's Adrian Pastor was honored Saturday night with the Rising Star Award at the Vermont Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame awards—he joined the news team as a reporter in 2022 and later became a weekend anchor. - ➤ On Saturday, the Howard Center hosted a job fair at the O’Brien Community Center in Winooski to fill more than 200 openings in mental health, substance use, and developmental support—staff answered questions and conducted on-site interviews to build a strong team for Vermont services. NBC5
- ➤ Farmworkers and advocates from Migrant Justice held rallies in Lamoille, Addison, and Chittenden counties urging Hannaford to join the Milk with Dignity program to improve working conditions—farm workers face long hours, low pay, and unsafe living conditions. The program, created by dairy workers to set fair wages and ensure safe housing, will be supported by continued rallies until all dairy workers receive dignified treatment. NBC5
