- ➤ Local venues are gearing up for a busy 2026 with a variety of concerts and shows. Burlington audiences can enjoy Neko Case’s performance at the Flynn on Jan. 11, Vermont Stage’s Agatha Christie play on Jan. 29, and Groundhog Fest (Jan. 30-Feb. 1) among many local events. Burlington Free Press
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Vermonters can begin safe bird feeding this winter as food shortages draw finches to local backyards. The Vermont Department of Fish & Wildlife advises cleaning feeders monthly & taking them down if bear activity is reported. VTDigger
- ➤ The Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation reported that Ben & Jerry’s in Waterbury had 130 wastewater reporting violations in 2024 for missed sampling reports due to a personnel issue. The company has since hired a chief wastewater operator and an auditor to improve its reporting process. VTDigger
