About this event
Water connects us all — from the ocean biome to the systems that treat our wastewater to the mountain communities that depend on clean water. Join three UVM faculty for a conversation about water-related research that crosses disciplines but shares a common purpose: asking complex scientific questions that address urgent societal and environmental challenges. As part of National First-Gen Week, we’ll also explore the paths these first-generation faculty members took into research and scholarship — and the possibilities that research can open for all students.
Panelists:
• Laura May-Collado, Ph.D.
UVM Associate Professor, Department of Biology and affiliate, Gund Institute for Environment
• Matthew Scarborough, Ph.D.
UVM associate professor, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and faculty fellow, Gund Institute for Environment
