About this event
Have you ever used the app Merlin, which identifies bird sounds (and now photos)? Are you a birder who’s heard of eBird but has yet to try it? Maybe you’ve used both and were confused.
We can help. We'll adapt each session to your needs. We can start with the process of downloading the apps and making an account, lean into navigating each app and the eBird website, lead you in using the apps for the first time, or dive deeper into a few more fun features.
Registration opens soon.
The cost to attend is $10 (just $1 more than adult admission to the Museum!). All proceeds will go towards replacing a bridge ; additional donations are much appreciated.
Limit of 16 attendees. Attendees must be at least 13 years old.
We'll have a waitlist for each date, and we are offering this program at least four times to make it easy for as many people as possible to attend. Choose the date that works for you! Options:
• Monday, Nov. 23 — Great for beginners thinking about backyard winter birds
• Saturday, Dec. 5 — Learn about the Christmas Bird Count, or more about winter birds
• Sunday, Feb. 7 — Just in time for Feederwatch...or get ready for those early spring migrants,. Yes, already!
• Sunday, Apr. 11 — Prepare for spring and summer birding!
