- ➤ A vibrant caravan of cars carrying handmade signs and Canadian flags rolled north on I-89 to the Canadian border to express solidarity against harmful immigration and foreign policy measures from Washington — organized by Indivisible VT. The demonstration started in Williston and ended with a peaceful gathering near Highgate as participants affirmed their ties with Canada. NBC5

- ➤ FoodScience, LLC acquired Natural Dog Company, a trusted dog care brand known for its quality products, on April 25th in Williston. The acquisition is FoodScience’s first since joining Morgan Stanley Capital Partners and is expected to combine operational excellence with Natural Dog’s market strength + boost pet wellness. - ➤ A Vermont State Police autopsy on April 25 confirmed that Aaron LaRoche, who shot Milton police officer Sgt. Paul Locke on April 23 before barricading himself in his Main Street apartment, died from a self-inflicted gunshot — Sgt. Locke recovered at home and no other injuries were reported. VermontBiz
- ➤ Vermont State Police is investigating a shooting at 879 N. Main St in Barre where a 45-year-old man was fatally shot in the abdomen on April 24 and police arrested Donna Robinson from Washington on charges of burglary, simple assault, possessing a firearm as a prohibited person and being a habitual offender (arraignment is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Monday in Barre).
