- ➤ Between February and April, NOFA-VT distributed $200 micro-grants to sponsor Long-Handled Spoons dinners (community potlucks that brought neighbors together) in Burlington and across Vermont. NOFA-VT plans to continue the program with more funding to foster local connections. Vermont Public
- ➤ Three miniature horses from Aspen East Stables in Jericho escaped Saturday and joined the Pump it Up 5-mile race by crossing Browns River onto Old Pump Road. Neighbors safely corralled them — the stables later gave the trio a ribbon for their unexpected dash. NBC5

- ➤ A 19-year-old and his mother will open Sabah's House, a Middle Eastern food kiosk on Church and College Streets later in May. - ➤ The Vermont Brewers Festival is set to take place July 17 — 18 at Burlington’s Waterfront Park featuring 40 breweries, three tasting sessions and a new VIP experience on July 17.
