- ➤ A single-vehicle crash on Thursday afternoon closed I-89 Northbound between Exit 19 and Exit 20 at mile marker 117 in St. Albans when heavy rain caused the car to hydroplane into the median—driver from Alburgh and a passenger from St. Albans received non-life-threatening treatment at Northwestern Medical Center before the road reopened around 1:30 p.m. MyChamplainValley.com

- ➤ On June 27, Burlington City Councilor Evan Litwin was assaulted at Red Square and hit with a glass—he was taken to UVMMC for treatment and the suspect, Brian Limoge from Essex, pleaded not guilty and will return for a weight of the evidence hearing on July 17. MyChamplainValley.com
