- ➤ During Hunger Action Month in September, Vermont legal professionals led by Attorney General Charity Clark + the Vermont Bar Association held a food and diaper drive that raised $14,304 and collected over 1,600 items to help families in need. The drive provided over $57,000 worth of food donated directly to the Vermont Foodbank, and contributors were honored at the Vermont Bar Association Annual Meeting on September 26 at The Hilton Resort in Burlington. - ➤ A grant from the Agency of Agriculture has given over $2.4 million to help 115,000 Vermont students learn about farming, gardening, and community nutrition by linking classrooms with local farms and gardens—schools can apply for the 2026 grant to receive between $10,000 and $30,000 for projects, with applications closing Oct. 29.
