- ➤ Officials at Leahy Burlington International Airport worked with students from Chamberlain School in South Burlington on Tuesday morning to rename six fleet vehicles. The vehicles were given names (King Monkey, Thunder, Snowball) that brought winter cheer to those in attendance. NBC5

- ➤ Wheatus headlines the 13th annual Home for the Holidays concert at Higher Ground in South Burlington on Dec. 20 as funds are raised for Northwestern Counseling and Support Services and Special Olympics Vermont. - ➤ Mount Mansfield has recorded a record 63 inches of snow, more than 3 feet above the seasonal average, a Burlington-based meteorologist said. Warmer temperatures tomorrow may cause a modest melt while a flash freeze on Friday could make roads hazardous. VTDigger
- ➤ Two environmental groups sued Vorsteveld Farm Tuesday in Burlington for letting toxic pesticide runoff enter Dead Creek – a move they say violates the Clean Water Act. The suit follows a 60-day compliance notice and comes after a prior contempt ruling against the farm. Seven Days

- ➤ Burlington approved $104,000 from opioid settlement funds to help open a recovery shelter at 148 Pearl St that will house 12 people and offer clinical help starting Feb. 1. Operated by CVOEO (Champlain Valley Office for Economic Opportunity) and the Howard Center, the shelter will follow a peer-led recovery model. Burlington Free Press
